I’ve lived in Vancouver almost my whole life and have never realized cherry blossoms were such a crowd gatherer until this year. I mean, I was always aware that Vancouver is known for it’s various pretty blooms but didn’t realize it was an actual attraction. I was driving around Vancouver one afternoon and saw a residential street lined with pink fluffiness. I decided to drive in to get a closer look and was immediately surprised by the huge groups of people leisurely walking on this street. You would’ve thought it was a wedding or block party of some sort!

This beautiful cherry blossom street is located in Renfrew. It’s in a residential neighbourhood on Graveley from Lillooet to Windermere Street. I’ve never seen anything like it before! Spoke with this elderly couple who told me that visiting this street has become a yearly thing for them. I can definitely see why!

The outfit I wore in this post features a jacket I got from Plenty’s warehouse sale this year. Definitely my favourite purchase from this years sale. It’s a great spring jacket!

This shot was taken a few streets over from Graveley. You can see the blooms are darker in shade and not at dense. I find this type of cherry blossom more prevalent around Vancouver. The street I live on is lined with this type.

Here’s a close up capture of the beautiful blooms on Graveley.

p.s. These shots were taken a while back in mid April. The month of April is when most of these flowers are blooming! 🙂

  1. I love Cherry blossoms! I saw them a lot in Washington D.C when I lived closer there (and I always wanted to get a tattoo of it on my back, that’s how much I love it). Thanks for the beautiful pictures – especially the last one!

  2. Oh what a beautiful street with the blossoms, I can see why it was so popular! It’s resulted in such pretty pictures too, blossoms are so sweet to look at.

I like the jacket you’re wearing as well, as you said it’s perfect for spring! 🙂

Hope you are having a great week! I just published my first eBook so I’m having a pretty good week! 🙂

  3. My favourite time of year. I’m in Toronto, Sakura just ended a couple of weeks ago. I live close to the largest park in the city so the population increases tremendously as people come in the thousands to see the blossoms. You’ve taken really pretty pictures 🙂 Standing near the blossoms or under the trees makes everyone look so beautiful!
