Every year when winter rolls around, I’m always in search for a good skincare routine that’ll protect my skin from the cold. This was especially true this year with the extreme cooler temperatures we’ve been having. With daytime temperatures below freezing, I often find myself questioning why I’m roaming around outside, haha.
This cute little holiday set by Ole Henriksen called Love the Winter caught my eye at Sephora. Let me tell you, packaging is everything! Isn’t the gold detailing on this box the darn prettiest?! Anyways, back to the goodies, this holiday set contains products that are meant for the cooler weather. On the back of the packaging, Ole states:
Nurture your skin with tender loving care all winter long. These cold-weather skincare essentials will drench dry skin with hydration and nourishment for a soothed, glowing complexion. – Ole
The three products included in this set are:
- Nurture Me Facial Water (4 fl. oz. / 118 mL – full size) – This is a nutrient-rich blend with cucumbers and chamomile. I love misting this on my face immediately after I’ve removed my makeup and have done my face cleaning routine. It has a very refreshing scent and feels cool on the skin. Don’t get it on your lips though, not the best tasting, lol.
- Nurture Me Facial Creme (1 fl. oz. / 30mL) – This product is my favourite out of the bunch. It’s a very light weight moisturizer that keeps my skin continuously moisturized throughout the day. And again, this smells amazing haha. It’s kind of like candy, cotton candy perhaps.
- Nurture Me Cleaning Cloths (10 pack) – I have yet to try out these wipes but I’m sure they’ll be just as good as the other products. I currently use Bioderma’s Sensibio H20 to remove my makeup every night. One bottle is a little pricey but it lasts a really long time. I’m planning on saving these cleaning cloths for my next vacation/ road trip. They’re more portable and definitely lighter than travelling with a bottle of liquid.
This is my first time trying Ole Henriksen’s products and I’m very pleased. For your reference, I do have sensitive skin/ redness and get eczema in the winter. These products worked really well for me and are suitable for sensitive skin.
Do you use Ole Henriksen products? Anything you’d recommend? I’ve heard good things about their cleaning line and might give that a try in the future.
