Another year is coming to an end. A new year can certainly mark a fresh start; however, don’t expect to make one big change. I saw a video earlier today about new year resolutions that made this point. The beginning of a new year is seen as the one time to change, when in reality change actually happens over time.

New year resolutions should be about a collection of little moments that fall toward a common goal.

Every time you choose to forgive or slow down, to be grateful or stay calm. Every little moment that you choose what’s right instead of what’s easy. Faith instead of doubt. Love instead of hate. That’s where the change happens!

  1. happy new year, yest change does happen over time and agree so much with that statement. Not only that anytime of the year is perfect for setting goals and making changes in your life. I set goals throughout the day. Another thing I learned from reading this book called it takes 21 days to create a habit, is that is takes just as long to break a habit so change does not come easy, just set your sights on your goals and take it one day at a time.

  2. Hmmm. I’m really not the resolutions type of person because I can never keep ’em, lol. I admire those who do resolutions and are able to stick by ’em. I wish you a fabulous year ahead. Happy New Year!

    PS. I love your OOTD!

  3. happy new year! i love the entire outfit, especially your jacket. I’ll have to take a look at that more as i think my daughter would look great in it.

  4. Happy new year to you! I love the leather jacket and the way you styled the whole look. This is great! Where I am, it is full blast winter with storms every other day! I am bundled up all the time. Love your post!
